Why Do Evil Spirits Target Kind People? A Medium’s Perspective on Spiritual Bullying

One of the things I come across time and time again in my work as a medium is something that I find particularly upsetting.

When I’m helping people who believe they have evil spirits or entities attached to them, or dealing with ghosts in people’s homes, I often notice something about the individuals who come to me for help.

They are frequently some of the kindest, most caring people you could ever meet.

These are people who would do anything for others. They’re thoughtful, compassionate and often put everybody else’s needs before their own.

So why do these lovely people sometimes find themselves in such difficult situations?

I want to explain this from my own experiences and why I believe understanding the similarities between bullying in our physical world and what I encounter in the spirit world is so important.

We Are All Here to Learn and Grow

I have spoken many times about why I believe we are here on the Earth plane.

In my understanding, our lives are a journey of learning, growing and developing spiritually before we eventually move on to the next world.

Think of it a little like children going to school.

When you’re at school, nobody can do your lessons for you. You have to learn for yourself, make mistakes, face challenges and gradually develop your understanding.

I believe life is much the same.

We all experience different situations, some wonderful and others extremely difficult. But through those experiences, we have opportunities to grow and become better, kinder and more understanding people.

And in my experience, one of the greatest signs of spiritual development is something very simple.

Humility.

When I teach in spiritual development circles and believe that more spiritually advanced souls have drawn close, one of the things I notice is how humble they are.

They don’t need to impress anybody or make themselves appear important.

There is a gentleness and kindness about them.

And I believe these qualities are something we should all be working towards in our own lives.

Why Kind People Are Sometimes Seen as Easy Targets

Unfortunately, kindness isn’t always treated as the strength that it really is.

Here in our physical world, we all know that bullies exist.

Whether it’s at school, in the workplace or in everyday life, there are people who take advantage of others.

And who do bullies often choose?

They frequently pick on people they believe won’t stand up to them.

Someone who is gentle, caring and doesn’t like confrontation can sometimes be seen as an easy target.

But that doesn’t make the kind person weak.

In fact, I believe quite the opposite.

Being a genuinely kind, loving and compassionate person can be a sign of great spiritual development.

It takes a great deal of strength to remain kind in a world where people aren’t always kind to you.

Yet sadly, these are sometimes the very people who experience the worst treatment from others.

And from my experiences as a medium, I believe something similar can happen in the spirit world.

Spiritual Bullying: What I Encounter in My Work

A significant part of my work involves helping people who come to me because they believe they are experiencing spirit attachments, negative entities or unexplained activity in their homes.

In my spiritual understanding, some of these experiences involve spirits who have not moved on and who behave in ways that are very similar to bullies here on Earth.

And one of the patterns I believe I have noticed is that these situations often involve particularly kind and sensitive individuals.

People who are caring, compassionate and open to others can sometimes find themselves feeling vulnerable.

I believe that, just as a bully in the physical world might take advantage of someone’s gentle nature, negative spirits may attempt to do something similar.

It’s something I find very upsetting.

These people haven’t done anything to deserve being frightened or troubled. They’re simply trying to live their lives and be good people.

And yet they come to me feeling worried, confused and unsure about what is happening around them.

Of course, not every unexplained experience has a spiritual cause, and it’s important to consider ordinary explanations too.

But when people seek my help with what they believe are spiritual problems, my aim is always to offer understanding and reassurance rather than create more fear.

The Importance of Understanding and Education

One of the most important parts of my work isn’t simply helping someone with what they believe is troubling them.

It’s helping them understand their experiences and feel more confident moving forward.

When someone has been bullied in the physical world, removing them from that situation can make an enormous difference.

But understanding what happened, recognising unhealthy behaviour and learning how to establish boundaries are equally important.

I believe the same principles are useful when approaching spiritual concerns.

When I have helped someone with what I understand to be a spirit attachment, I spend time explaining my beliefs about spiritual protection and the importance of being sensible about the situations they enter.

For those who share my spiritual beliefs, this may include asking loved ones who have passed over to draw close and offer guidance and protection.

I also encourage people to be thoughtful about spiritual practices and not involve themselves in things they don’t fully understand.

But above all, I want people to feel reassured and empowered, rather than frightened of what might be around them.

Education, understanding and confidence are far more valuable than living in fear.

Kindness Is Not Weakness

There is something I particularly want people to understand.

If you’re someone who always tries to help others, who cares deeply about people and who would rather avoid confrontation, please don’t think that makes you weak.

Kindness is a wonderful quality.

In my spiritual understanding, the most advanced souls are not necessarily those who make the most noise, claim the greatest abilities or demand the most attention.

They are often the quietest and most humble.

They’re the ones who show genuine compassion, who help others without expecting anything in return and who understand the importance of love.

But being kind doesn’t mean you have to allow others to take advantage of you.

You can be compassionate and still have boundaries.

You can help others while also looking after yourself.

And you can remain a loving person without accepting bullying or mistreatment from anybody.

These are important lessons for all of us.

Protecting Yourself Without Living in Fear

I often talk about the importance of spiritual awareness and protection, but I never want people to spend their lives worrying about spirits or unseen influences.

We are here to live our lives, learn from our experiences and enjoy the opportunities we have.

From my perspective, being sensible and grounded is one of the most important things anyone can do.

If you follow spiritual practices, take time to understand them properly and seek responsible guidance.

If something makes you uncomfortable or frightened, remember that you have the right to step away.

And if you’re experiencing bullying, anxiety or distress, don’t be afraid to seek practical support from people you trust.

I believe our loved ones in spirit can offer us comfort and guidance, but we must also use our own judgement and take responsibility for our lives here on Earth.

We all have free will, and learning how to use it wisely is part of our journey.

Final Thoughts

Throughout my years working as a medium, I have met some truly wonderful people.

Many of those who come to me for help are incredibly kind, gentle and compassionate individuals.

It saddens me to see good people experiencing fear or distress, whether that comes from bullying in their everyday lives or from experiences they believe to be spiritual.

In my view, there are similarities between the way bullies behave here on Earth and the behaviour I associate with certain spirits.

But I don’t believe the answer is to become frightened of the world around us.

The answer is to learn, understand and develop.

Remember, being a kind person doesn’t make you weak. It can be one of your greatest strengths.

Continue to show compassion, continue to help others, but remember to look after yourself as well.

We are all on our own pathways, learning lessons and developing as we go.

And ultimately, I believe becoming kinder, more loving and more understanding is one of the greatest things we can achieve during our time here.
