Understanding the Different Types of Spirit Attachments I Encounter

When people talk about spirit attachments or evil spirits, it is very easy to imagine that every case is roughly the same.

From my experience, that simply isn’t true.

I deal with people who believe they have something attached to them on an almost daily basis, and the situations I encounter can be completely different from one person to the next. Some are relatively straightforward to deal with. Others can be extremely difficult.

There are also occasions when what somebody believes is evil turns out to be something entirely different.

Not Every Attachment Is the Same

Recently, I was helping a gentleman who lived a long way from me. He contacted me because, for around six months, he felt that something had been interfering with his mind.

When I made the spiritual connection, I sensed three small entities around him.

They weren’t what I would describe as human spirits. They appeared to me almost like small spiritual creatures. It is incredibly difficult to describe something like this in physical terms because what I am sensing isn’t physical.

As soon as I became aware of them, they also seemed to become aware of me.

I began praying and working spiritually to help this gentleman. The entities left, and afterwards I put what I can best describe as love and protection around him.

He told me that he felt considerably better.

For me, that was one of the more straightforward cases. But these situations are surprisingly common in the work I do.

Then There Are Much More Serious Cases

Only a few days earlier, somebody else had contacted me after experiencing problems for approximately three months.

This situation felt completely different.

As soon as I read the email, I became aware of spiritual protection around me. I sensed what I describe as soldiers surrounding and protecting me.

What I encountered in that particular situation was, from my perspective, one of the most evil things I have ever experienced.

But there is something very important that I always try to make clear when talking about this work:

I don’t believe I am the one actually removing these things.

I make the connection.

I am the link between the situation here and those helping me from the spirit world. Once that connection has been established, I believe those around me are responsible for dealing with what is there.

That particular case took considerably more work, but eventually the presence was removed.

Sometimes an Attachment Is Simply a Confused Soul

Between those two extremes are many other types of spiritual attachment.

One of the most common situations I encounter involves what I would describe as a confused or wandering soul.

Someone dies but, for whatever reason, doesn’t move on.

They may not properly understand what has happened to them. They may be frightened, confused or simply unwilling to leave the Earth plane.

Sometimes these spirits become attached to somebody who is still alive.

I’ve encountered cases where I believe this connection has continued for many years – occasionally for as long as 20 years.

Over that period, the person may feel that something is affecting their thoughts or their life without understanding why.

These cases can sometimes be easier to resolve because the spirit itself isn’t necessarily evil.

Once the situation is explained to them and help from the spirit world draws close, they can often be encouraged to move forward.

Again, I see myself simply as the link that allows that process to begin.

When the ‘Attachment’ Is Actually a Loved One

There is another type of case that I have encountered several times recently.

Somebody contacts me convinced that they have an attachment because they constantly sense somebody around them.

But when I investigate, I discover something very different.

It can be a loved one who has died.

From my spiritual understanding, sometimes people pass over and realise that they made mistakes during their life. They may desperately want to apologise to somebody they left behind before moving forward themselves.

The problem is that their loved one here doesn’t necessarily know who they are sensing.

They simply know that someone is there.

Imagine constantly sensing a presence around you without knowing its identity. It is understandable that somebody might become frightened and conclude that they have an unwanted spirit attachment.

In reality, what I may find is a loved one desperately trying to say sorry before they move on.

These situations need to be approached very differently from something genuinely negative.

Bullies Can Still Be Bullies in Spirit

Then there are people who behaved terribly during their physical lives.

We all know that bullies exist in this world.

From my experience, dying doesn’t necessarily mean that somebody’s personality instantly changes.

I believe there are many souls who remain close to the Earth plane rather than moving forward. Some were bullies while they were alive and continue behaving like bullies after death.

They may attempt to influence or attach themselves to vulnerable people.

But that doesn’t mean we should live our lives frightened that a spirit can simply attach itself to us at any moment.

Be Careful About Opening Yourself Spiritually

This is where I believe spiritual development and proper training are incredibly important.

From my experience, people can make themselves more vulnerable when they deliberately open themselves to spirit without understanding what they are doing.

That might involve experimenting with a Ouija board, sitting in an unprotected spiritual circle or attempting mediumship without proper training.

Another situation I have encountered involves people who discover they are sensitive to spirit and immediately assume that anything communicating with them must be friendly.

Something negative may initially present itself as something pleasant.

That is why I have always stressed that being able to sense spirit doesn’t automatically mean you understand what you are sensing.

Mediumship requires development, experience and discernment.

Why I Don’t Try to Study Evil

Over the years, I have encountered many different forms of what I would describe as negative or evil spiritual influences.

I find the differences between these cases fascinating, but I have no desire to deliberately study evil or draw it closer simply to understand it better.

My objective is much simpler.

If something negative is affecting somebody, I want it gone.

I don’t need to know everything about what it is or where it came from. My concern is helping the person and allowing those working with me from the spirit world to deal with it.

I Am the Link, Not the Power Behind It

This is probably the most important thing to understand about the way I view this work.

I don’t believe there is anything particularly powerful about me.

I am the link.

When I become aware of something spiritually, it becomes aware of me. That connection allows those I believe are working around me from the spirit world to become involved.

They do the work.

I simply provide the connection that allows it to happen.

After doing this so regularly, these experiences have become almost normal to me, although every case continues to be slightly different.

Love Is Stronger Than Evil

So far, whatever I have encountered through this work, I believe those helping me have been able to deal with it.

And ultimately, my understanding of why is very simple:

Love is stronger than evil.

But I also believe anybody involved in this type of work needs to have their feet firmly on the ground.

Fear and uncertainty have no place when dealing with something you believe to be negative. If somebody is frightened or doubts their ability to handle a situation, I don’t believe they should attempt to deal with it themselves.

Some of these influences can, in my experience, be extremely clever and manipulative.

But I don’t approach them with anger or hatred.

I approach them with love, with faith and with the support of those I believe are working alongside me from the other side.

And for me, that is where the real strength lies.
