This blog is really a warning.
If you believe you have a spirit attached to you, or you think there may be a ghost or unwanted spirit in your home, please be very careful about who you approach for help.
I hear stories every single week from people who have been frightened, vulnerable and desperate for somebody to help them. Unfortunately, there are people who are willing to take advantage of that fear.
Be Wary of People Charging Huge Amounts of Money
I have spoken to people who have been charged hundreds of pounds to supposedly remove a spirit.
I’ve heard of people being given so-called holy water that they are told they must drink to remove the spirit – only to be charged £300 or £400 for each bottle and then told they may need several bottles.
More recently, I spoke to somebody who had been told that their spirit attachment could definitely be removed.
There was just one condition:
They needed to put £2,000 into the person’s bank account first.
Sadly, there are people who see fear surrounding ghosts, spirits and attachments as an opportunity to make money.
When somebody genuinely believes something is affecting them or their home, they can be extremely vulnerable. They simply want the problem gone, and that makes it easier for unscrupulous people to take advantage of them.
Expensive Doesn’t Necessarily Mean Better
There is also a very natural assumption that can make these situations worse.
We often think that if somebody charges more money, they must be better at what they do.
That isn’t necessarily true.
When it comes to spiritual work, an enormous price tag certainly doesn’t guarantee that somebody has greater ability, experience or knowledge.
Personally, I have never charged for removing ghosts, spirits or attachments.
I consider the ability to do this a gift from God. I am fortunate that I don’t need to make my living from this work. It isn’t my career and it isn’t how I support myself financially.
But it is something I believe I will continue doing for the rest of my life.
This Work Requires Experience
Removing spirits isn’t something that I believe somebody should simply decide to start doing.
From my experience, you need guidance, development and considerable understanding of mediumship.
I have been a medium throughout my life. I sat in my first spiritual circle when I was six years old, and my development has continued ever since. Over approximately the last 15 years in particular, that development and training has become increasingly intense.
Even when I am teaching others, I believe I am still learning and being trained myself.
When I investigate a haunting, I am sensing the spirit in that house – but the spirit can also sense me.
That is something people need to understand.
You Don’t Always Know What You’re Going to Encounter
This is one of the reasons I would never recommend that an inexperienced medium simply attempts to remove a ghost.
You don’t necessarily know what you are going to come across.
It may be somebody who has died and, for whatever reason, has simply not moved on. In those circumstances, it may be possible to help that spirit understand their situation and move forward.
But not every case I encounter is like that.
During my life, I believe I have encountered things that are extremely unpleasant and, on occasions, what I would describe as evil.
That is why experience and protection are so important to me.
Why I Am Not Afraid of What I Encounter
One of the most important things about the work I do is that I am not frightened of evil.
That might sound strange, particularly when I talk about some of the things I have encountered.
But I believe I have tremendous help from the spirit world. I sometimes describe it as having an army of people behind me.
There is nothing particularly special about me as a person. My mind is simply open to spirit. I sense them, and they sense me.
I also believe that I am protected through love and through those who work alongside me from the other side.
That allows me to deal with situations that I would strongly advise an inexperienced medium not to become involved with.
Some Spirits Are Like Bullies
I sometimes compare certain negative spirits to bullies in everyday life.
A bully may intimidate somebody they believe is vulnerable. But when they encounter somebody stronger who isn’t frightened of them, their behaviour can suddenly change.
From my experience, some spirits behave in a very similar way.
But there are also situations that I believe are considerably more serious. That is why nobody should assume that removing a spirit is always going to be straightforward.
A medium may begin investigating what appears to be a simple ghost in somebody’s home and discover something entirely different.
This is one reason why I have known mediums who initially attempted this type of work but eventually decided they didn’t want to continue.
Don’t Allow Fear to Make the Decision for You
This brings me back to the most important reason for writing this.
If you believe you have a ghost, spirit attachment or entity around you, don’t allow fear to push you into handing over large amounts of money to the first person who promises they can solve the problem.
Ask questions.
Find out about their experience.
Look for genuine feedback from people they have previously helped.
And be particularly cautious of anyone who uses fear to convince you that you must immediately pay them hundreds or thousands of pounds.
From my own spiritual beliefs and experience, ghosts, spirits, attachments and entities can be removed or helped to move on.
But if you are going to ask somebody for help, make sure you are dealing with someone who genuinely understands what they are doing – rather than somebody who simply understands how to make money from somebody else’s fear.
