People often ask me how they can find a good medium or a genuine healer. It’s a very sensible question because there are so many people offering spiritual services today, and it can be difficult to know who to trust.

After many years as a medium and running a Spiritualist church, I have come to one simple conclusion:

The very best mediums and healers are always humble.

It is one quality that I have seen time and time again, and I believe it is one of the clearest signs that someone is working for the right reasons.

The Best Mediums Don’t Seek Attention

At our church, we invite a different medium to serve every week.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting many gifted clairvoyants and healers. Some are exceptionally talented, yet they all have one thing in common.

They are humble.

They don’t boast about their abilities.

They aren’t interested in fame or recognition.

Most aren’t earning large sums of money. In fact, they often receive little more than enough to cover their travel expenses. They simply want to help people, and that’s why they do what they do.

That attitude says far more about a person’s spiritual development than any claims they make about their gifts.

A Word of Caution

Occasionally, you may come across someone who claims to be an extraordinary healer and promises miraculous results—for a very large fee.

Personally, I would be extremely cautious.

Healing is not something that should be treated as a way of making vast amounts of money.

At our church, we do not charge for healing.

Why?

Because we don’t believe the healer is actually doing the healing.

Where Does Healing Come From?

As a Christian, I believe all healing ultimately comes from Jesus.

Others may say it comes from God, from the Light, or from Divine Spirit.

Whatever your personal beliefs, the important point is this:

The healer is simply the medium.

They act as a bridge between this world and the spirit world.

When someone comes for healing, they open themselves to the possibility of receiving help. The healer places their hands gently on the person, creating a connection between the two worlds.

From there, something beautiful begins to happen.

Your Loved Ones Are Still Helping You

One of the greatest comforts I have experienced through mediumship is knowing that our loved ones never stop caring about us.

When healing takes place, your loved ones in the spirit world draw close.

They do everything they can to help.

Not only that, but they also bring those in the spirit world who have developed healing abilities themselves.

In other words, healing is not carried out by one individual on Earth.

It is a joint effort between those in this world and those who continue their work in the next.

Progress Doesn’t Stop After Death

Many people imagine that when we die, we simply arrive in heaven and remain there forever.

My own experience through mediumship suggests something much bigger.

When we leave our physical body, we enter the next world.

From there, we continue to grow.

We continue to learn.

We continue to develop spiritually.

Eventually, we move on to even higher states of existence.

It can be difficult to understand because it stretches beyond our everyday experience, but it is something I have witnessed repeatedly through spiritual work.

The Most Advanced Souls Are Also the Most Humble

In the development circles I run, there are moments when the atmosphere changes completely.

The room becomes filled with an overwhelming sense of peace, love and calm.

Those are often the moments when very advanced souls draw close.

Interestingly, there is one characteristic they all seem to share.

Humility.

There is no ego.

No desire for recognition.

Only love.

The more spiritually advanced a soul becomes, the more humble they appear to be.

Humility Is the Real Measure of Spiritual Progress

We often judge people by how confident they appear, how many followers they have, or how well known they are.

But in spiritual work, those things matter very little.

Some of the finest clairvoyants you will ever meet may never become famous.

Some of the greatest healers may never write books or appear on television.

Instead, they quietly spend their lives helping others without expecting praise or reward.

That, to me, is true spiritual development.

Final Thoughts

If you are looking for a medium or healer, don’t be impressed by grand promises or bold claims.

Instead, look for kindness.

Look for compassion.

Look for humility.

In my experience, those who work with genuine love and humility are often the ones who make the greatest difference in people’s lives.

Perhaps humility isn’t just the key to becoming a better medium or healer.

Perhaps it is one of the greatest lessons we are all here to learn.
