People often ask me why I continue doing the work I do.
After all, it can be dangerous.
The answer is simple: because people need help.
Not Every Spirit Is the Same
Over the years, I’ve been called to countless homes where people believe something isn’t right.
In around nine out of ten cases, what I find is simply a confused soul. Someone who has passed away but, through their own free will, hasn’t moved on to where they should be. These spirits often need guidance, compassion and help to continue their journey.
But every so often, I come across something very different.
Sometimes it is something far darker.
When Evil Is Real
There are occasions when I encounter what I would describe as an evil entity.
These are not simply confused spirits. They can be deeply negative and, in some cases, extremely dangerous.
There have been times when, as soon as I become aware of their presence, they become aware of mine. It may sound dramatic, but I have experienced situations where these entities have wanted to harm me.
This is one of the realities of the work I do.
Fortunately, after more than 50 years as a medium, I have been continually taught and guided by those in the spirit world. That guidance has enabled me to deal safely with situations that many people would find overwhelming.
Why I Can’t Walk Away
People sometimes ask me why I don’t simply retire from this type of work and live a quieter life.
The answer is because I know what happens when people aren’t helped.
Imagine driving down the road and seeing someone trapped in a burning car after an accident.
You wouldn’t think twice about stopping to help.
Now imagine driving another ten minutes and seeing someone else in exactly the same situation.
You wouldn’t carry on driving thinking, “I’ve already helped one person today.”
You would stop again.
That’s exactly how I see this work.
When I meet someone who has been living for years with a spirit attached to them—sometimes something that has caused fear, anxiety or disruption throughout their life—and I am able to remove it, I see the relief that follows.
I see people getting their lives back.
How could I simply stop doing that?
Helping People Live Normally Again
Sometimes the difference is immediate.
People describe their homes feeling peaceful again.
They begin sleeping properly.
The heavy atmosphere disappears.
In more serious cases, where an entity has attached itself to a person, removing that influence can completely change someone’s life.
When you witness that time and time again, you realise why the work matters.
A Very Unusual Calling
I believe there must be other mediums who carry out this type of work, but personally I haven’t met anyone who does exactly what I do.
Helping confused souls move on is one part of it.
Removing harmful spirits or evil entities attached to people is another.
It is a responsibility that I never take lightly.
I feel incredibly privileged to have been taught how to do this, and even now I continue learning. The spirit world is always teaching us if we are willing to listen.
Why Training Others Is So Difficult
People sometimes ask whether I can teach others to do this work.
The answer is yes—but only to the right people.
Anyone undertaking this type of work needs to have their feet firmly on the ground. They must be emotionally strong, spiritually prepared and ready for whatever they may encounter.
Every case is different.
Often someone simply sends me photographs of their house, a room where activity is taking place, or somewhere they feel uncomfortable.
The moment I look at those photographs, I can usually sense the problem.
At the same time, whatever is there often becomes aware of me.
Once that connection has been made, it needs dealing with. It isn’t something I can simply ignore until another day.
Helping Others Is Worth the Risk
Yes, this work carries risks.
There are moments when you are putting yourself in harm’s way.
But if, at the end of it, someone is free from something that has been affecting their life for years…
If a family can finally feel safe in their own home…
If someone can live peacefully again…
Then every challenge is worthwhile.
That is why I continue doing this work.
Not because it is easy.
But because helping people is all that really matters.
