Is Reincarnation Real? My Thoughts After 50 Years as a Medium

One of the questions I am often asked is this:

“Do you believe in reincarnation?”

For many people, reincarnation feels comforting. The idea that if we get things wrong in this life, we simply come back and try again can bring reassurance. It offers hope that there is always another chance.

But after more than 50 years of working as a medium, helping people, giving clairvoyance, and sitting in spiritual circles, I have to be honest about what I have experienced.

And in all that time, not once have I seen any evidence to suggest that reincarnation — in the way many people think of it — actually takes place.

What I Have Experienced Through Mediumship

Throughout my life as a medium, I have witnessed many extraordinary things.

Clairvoyance works because our loved ones continue to exist after physical death. If they had ceased to exist, communication would simply not be possible. Yet time and time again, evidence comes through proving that those who have passed are still very much alive in another state of being.

In circle work, particularly during trance, we also regularly encounter what I would describe as highly evolved souls.

Some people may call them angels.

These are souls who feel deeply wise, loving, and spiritually progressed. And one thing that has repeatedly come through from them is the idea that we continue to move forward after this life — not backwards.

We are told there are many lives before this one, but not necessarily physical lives here on Earth as people often imagine. Rather, there are many stages of existence, many worlds, and continued spiritual progression.

This can be difficult for us to understand because we naturally think as physical beings. We focus on this world because this is what we know.

But from what I have experienced, life does not end here — it simply continues.

Progression of the Soul

Think about your own life for a moment.

When we are children or teenagers, many of us can be selfish, impatient, or lacking life experience. But as we grow older, we often become more understanding, compassionate, and wiser through what life teaches us.

By the time someone reaches old age or becomes a grandparent, they have often lived through hardships, love, loss, mistakes, and lessons that shape who they are.

In many ways, life itself is about learning.

The harder the journey, sometimes the more we grow.

From what I have been shown spiritually, this learning continues after death. We progress. We move forward.

And eventually, we move on again to another world beyond this one.

Why Would We Come Back?

One thing I often ask people to consider is this:

If we continue progressing in the spirit world, why would we come back to start all over again?

Time and time again in trance communication, we are told that souls move forward from one world to another, continuing their development.

Never once have I heard spirit say that we return to the Earth plane to repeat physical life again.

In fact, we are often told that before coming here, souls may wait for the right opportunity, the right circumstances, and the right physical body.

Spirit may spend time around the Earth plane long before taking on physical life.

Which leads to another interesting point…

“I Feel Like I’ve Been Here Before”

Many people visit a place and instantly feel familiar with it.

They feel deeply connected, emotional, or convinced they must have lived there in a past life.

Often, this is immediately labelled as reincarnation.

But from my understanding through spirit, it may simply mean that you have been there before as spirit.

Remember, spirit exists beyond physical limitations.

Before entering physical life, souls may travel, observe, and spend time in many places.

That feeling of familiarity does not necessarily mean you lived another physical life there.

My Concerns About Regression

I am often asked about past-life regression, and I do feel people should approach it carefully.

One thing I have noticed over the years is that when people undergo regression, they nearly always seem to discover they were someone important or famous.

Rarely does someone say they were an ordinary farmer, shopkeeper, or everyday person.

And sometimes the timelines people describe do not even make sense.

But my bigger concern is spiritual safety.

When you engage in regression or open yourself up spiritually without protection, you can make yourself vulnerable.

In my experience, there are many souls around us — some loving, some confused, and some far less pleasant.

If someone opens themselves completely, they may unknowingly attract something they never intended to.

This is why I always encourage people to approach spiritual matters carefully and with common sense.

What Happens After We Die?

After everything I have witnessed through mediumship, this is what I personally believe happens:

We leave the physical body.

We are reunited with loved ones in the next world.

We continue learning, growing, and progressing.

And eventually, we move on to another stage of existence.

For me, life after death is not about coming back to repeat the same lessons over and over again.

It is about continuing the journey.

Of course, everyone has their own beliefs, and people must follow what feels right to them. But after decades of working with spirit, I can only speak honestly about what I have seen.

And from everything I have experienced:

We are here once — and then we move forward.
