One of the most common questions I am asked is: What happens after you die?
Many religions speak about judgement — about standing before someone and being judged for what you have done. But what I share with you here is not based on religion. It is based on what I experience regularly through my work as a medium.
When I give readings — usually here in this room in my home — people come to see me, and their loved ones draw close from the other side. As they come through, certain patterns repeat themselves time and time again.
And those patterns tell us something very important.
The Life Review – Not Judgement, But Reality
Often, the first thing that comes through from someone who has passed is regret.
Not dramatic regret. Not fear. But simple, heartfelt things:
- “I wish I’d hugged you more.”
- “I wish I’d told you I loved you more.”
- “I wish I’d been there more.”
From this alone, you can begin to understand something profound:
They are seeing their whole life.
Time and time again in readings, it becomes clear that a person’s life is recorded. When we leave our physical body and move on to the next world, we look back.
And it seems that everybody has some regrets. I am sure I will too.
When Memories Return
Something else happens when those on the other side draw close to the earth plane.
All their memories return.
If they were kind, loving, and decent people, those memories return with warmth. There is no fear in that. It is easier for them to come forward.
But I have also had people come through with deep regret — even shame. Some have described themselves in very harsh terms because they have seen clearly how they treated others.
This could only happen if they are facing the reality of their life.
Not being judged by someone else.
But seeing it for themselves.
Some describe it as “looking in a mirror.” Not standing before a judge — simply seeing the truth of who they were and what they did.
The Ripple Effect of Your Actions
Think of it practically.
If someone passes over and looks back at their life, they can see the effect they had on others.
If they were kind to someone — and that person then passed that kindness on to someone else — that must be a beautiful thing to witness. Your love becomes part of someone else’s normal way of being.
But imagine the opposite.
If someone was cruel, harsh, or unkind — whether to family, children, or others — and then looks back and sees that behaviour repeated by the people they influenced… they understand they helped create that pain.
And they have to face that.
That is not religious judgement. That is awareness.
Why This Matters
I am simply the one in the middle during these readings — sensing what is happening and passing on their feelings and understanding.
But there is no doubt in my mind, from what I experience time and time again, that we do face our lives.
Not based on what religion we followed.
Not based on what label we carried.
But based on how we lived.
How we treated people.
What we gave.
What we withheld.
Some people avoid mediumship or spiritual matters altogether because, deep down, they sense this truth. But belief does not prevent reality.
Whatever your faith — or even if you have none — at some point you will look back on your life.
And that is why how you live now is so important.
Because when you move on to the next world, you will see clearly how you lived this one.
