Why We Are Really Here – Understanding the Earth Experience

It has become very clear to me, through over 50 years of mediumship, what the Earth experience is truly about.

Working with spirit—helping souls who have become attached to people move on, clearing homes, and witnessing countless communications through clairvoyance—I have seen, time and time again, that there is not just this life. There is a next world… and then another beyond that.

We do not simply exist once.
We continue. We learn. We progress.

We Never Stop Learning

From running development circles and connecting with those who have passed, one thing becomes obvious: souls move from world to world, continuing their journey.

This is our true existence.

Life is not a single moment in time—it is an ongoing process of growth. And to grow, we must expand our minds and begin to see beyond just the physical world.

Do We Choose Our Life?

To a certain degree, yes—we choose our life before we come here.

And understandably, many people react to that idea with the same question:

“Well… why didn’t I choose an easier life?”

It’s a fair question. But the answer lies in understanding why we are here in the first place.

Why Life Isn’t Meant to Be Easy

The Earth is a place of experience.

Every challenge—whether it’s illness, loss, heartbreak, or struggle—teaches us something. And those lessons are not just for us.

Think about it this way:

When you are going through something difficult, who do you turn to?

You don’t seek advice from someone who has never experienced it.
You go to someone who understands—someone who has been through it themselves.

Because they can truly help.

And this is the key.

Helping Others Is How We Progress

From everything I have witnessed through mediumship, one truth comes through again and again:

We progress by helping others.

When people return from the spirit world during a reading or within a circle, they often reflect on their lives. Many say they wish they had done more… helped more… loved more.

This is not said with regret alone—it is said with understanding.

Because they now see clearly:

Growth comes through service to others.

Life Is Like a School

Think of the Earth like a school.

When a child is learning something difficult, you don’t do it for them. They must go through the process themselves in order to understand it and grow.

Life is no different.

We are all here, learning our lessons.

Some lives may seem easier than others, but every experience—no matter how hard—has value. It shapes us into people who can support, guide, and uplift others.

The Value of Experience

As we grow older, we often find that people come to us for advice.

Why?

Because we’ve lived. We’ve experienced. We understand.

And this mirrors exactly what happens in the next world.

The experiences we gain here allow us to help others there.

Nothing is wasted.

A Personal Experience That Confirmed Everything

For me, this understanding became undeniable through a deeply personal experience.

My mother suffered with illness for 20 years before she passed.

Six days after her passing, during a circle, I saw her.

She looked completely well—healthy, vibrant, and in her twenties again. That is often how spirit presents themselves, as they choose the age they feel most comfortable in.

But more than that—she glowed.

She shone with a light that is difficult to describe.

And I knew, without question, that everything she had endured on Earth had made her stronger… wiser… and able to help so many others in the spirit world.

The Bigger Picture

We existed before we came here.
We continue after we leave.

And between those two points, we live, we learn, and we grow.

This may be difficult to fully take in, but from my experience, it is reality.

There is a next world. There must be—otherwise none of this work would be possible.

And beyond that, there are further worlds still.

The One Truth That Connects Everything

Across every experience, every world, and every stage of existence, one thing remains constant:

Everything is about love.

Love is what drives growth.
Love is what connects us.
And love is how we move forward—both here and beyond.
