One of the questions I am often asked is simple: how does a medium actually help people who are still living on the earth plane?

For me, the answer is also simple. I have dedicated the rest of my life to helping people open their minds to the possibility that life continues after death.

This work has come from years of experience. I have encountered countless situations where someone reaches the end of their life, passes away, and leaves their physical body completely shocked by what has just happened.

Often this shock comes because the person never believed in anything beyond this life. They may never have considered the possibility that consciousness continues. Their mind was closed to the idea that there could be something more.

Then suddenly, everything changes.

The Shock of Realising You Are Still Alive

Imagine leaving your physical body.

Many people have heard of out-of-body experiences, where someone feels themselves separate from their body and observe what is happening around them. When a person dies, something similar can occur.

They may find themselves outside their body, aware, conscious, and wondering what on earth is going on.

They realise something extraordinary:

They are still there.

For someone who never believed this could happen, it can be a profound shock. Their entire understanding of life is suddenly turned upside down.

This is one of the reasons I do the work I do.

Planting Seeds in People’s Minds

I carry out many different roles as part of this work.

I give readings regularly, although there is only so much time in the day. I also give talks and demonstrations, and I run Alton Christian Spiritualist Church. Sometimes I am called to hospitals to help someone who is nearing the end of their life, or simply to offer a prayer and support to families during difficult moments.

Alongside all of this, I also share my experiences through videos and social media.

But the purpose of all these things is not to convince everyone overnight.

It is something much simpler.

I want to plant seeds in people’s minds.

Perhaps someone watches a video or attends a talk and thinks:

“I’m not sure about that… but could it be possible?”

That small moment of curiosity can make a huge difference.

Because when that person eventually leaves their physical body, the thought may return to them:

“That strange chap… maybe he was right.”

And that thought alone can reduce the shock of what is happening.

The Time After Passing

Another important thing I explain to people is that after passing, many individuals remain close to their loved ones for a short time.

In my experience, people often stay around family for a couple of weeks before moving fully into the next world.

During this time, their loved ones may sense them.

Sometimes they feel a presence. Sometimes they may hear or feel something subtle. And if their minds are open, they can even speak to their loved one, saying hello or acknowledging them.

Even if they cannot see them, that connection can be very real.

For the person who has passed, this recognition can be comforting. It reassures them that they are still connected and that they are not alone.

After this period, they naturally move forward into the next stage of their journey.

Why I Cannot Ignore This Work

People sometimes ask me why I spend so much time helping spirits move on.

My answer is simple.

If you were driving down the road and saw someone trapped in a burning car, you would immediately stop and help rescue them.

If you drove another ten miles and saw the same situation again, you would help again.

You wouldn’t just ignore it.

For me, it is exactly the same.

Sometimes I encounter spirits who have remained in the same place for decades. Occasionally it may even be a child who has been present in a house for 40 or 50 years.

When I help them move on, the change is often immediate.

The atmosphere in the house shifts. The tension disappears. The people living there notice the difference straight away.

When you are able to help in that way, how could you simply stop doing it?

A Lifetime of Helping Others

There are millions of mediums around the world doing similar work through clairvoyance and spiritual connection.

If clairvoyance were not real, how could these experiences occur again and again across different people, places, and cultures?

For me, the work is both a responsibility and a privilege.

I am grateful that I have the opportunity to help people — both those still living and those who have already passed.

And if through my talks, demonstrations, church services, or videos I can simply help someone consider the possibility that life continues beyond death, then that alone is worthwhile.

Because one day, every one of us will experience that moment.

And if a small seed has already been planted in our minds, the journey may feel far less frightening.

Instead of shock, there may simply be recognition.

And perhaps even peace.
